Tīdunga: Wīcinga Blōd nū gēna on Engla lande

Making the rounds in the news lately is a new publication that indicates that nearly 50% of “original” residents of the area in and around Liverpool (Wirral) have “Viking” genes. For further info, visit the site of Steve Harding, one of the professors responsible for the study and publication.

For those newly-minted Vikings and all others interested in the Norse in general, I have just found a brand new blog that seems to have a lot of promise (and an impressive amount of depth in its posts) covering aspects of Norse history and culture. Let’s hope that The Hammer & The Boar will manage to keep up the good work.
